“I was at the Danceteria show in 1983. It was in the early part of January, the exact day I don’t remember. What I will never forget though is Gavin spitting apple on me and a couple of other fans in the front. I never washed the bits off my leather jacket either. The jacket eventually disintegrated (not directly because of the apple and spit) about four or five years ago. The show on Long Island in 1984 was in a town called Island Park, and I’m almost certain the club was called Network. It was a weekday, and I made the poor decision not to go so I’d be rested for school the next day. Who new it would be my last chance to see one of my all time favorites.”
