Here’s something to keep you going for the weekend: Mute America will release all 5 Virgin Prunes re-issues on October 5th, 2004. The Virgin Prunes back catalogue will first be re-released in the U.K. and Europe on Mute Records’ Grey Area label on September 27, 2004.

Early Prunes pictures on the web

Some details on Lypton Village, early photos of U2 and Virgin Prunes performing together are available at new site www.thevirginprunes.com. The site does not make mention of its creators, but the source code reveals the names of Nick Corrigan and Patrick Brocklebank. Brocklebank’s photographs previously illustrated Bill Graham’s book ‘U2 – The Early Days’.
